Our experience in issuing building permits across the country and the knowledge of building legislation, guarantees quick and efficient handling of the file with the building authorities.

Important point is the sincere cooperation and information of the investor, of the building laws so that the studies submitted to the Building Authority to be accurate and feasible. This will rule out problems with the building authorities during the two stages check of the project by the building inspector.

A Building Permit is essential for carrying out any kind of construction work. Whether it is for construction of a new building or addition in height or in extension of an existing structure, whether for a major repair, or even for demolition, a Building Permit is required by the act. 4067/2012.

Objective of Building Permits

The Building Permit is not simply an administrative act. For issuing a building permit a minimum of studies is required by the authorities, for the proper execution of the building project.

A supervising engineer, who is in charge of the project, is appointed by law for compliance of construction with the building permit and technical codes of Ministry of Housing. If approved studies are not followed, liability is upon the supervising engineer and the owner.

Unfortunately it is believed that a building permit is a bureaucratic process without purpose. This is completely wrong, resulting in poor quality of construction if studies are not applied. The absence of an Expert Technical Consultant, such as a Project Manager, who cares for the accurate implementation of the studies of the building permit, without adverse effects of the quality of work, waste of materials and man working hours, prevents capital dissipation.

Additional Care

The studies submitted for issuing a Building Permit, under the new law are more comprehensive, but not always enough. Studies have gaps in reference of construction detailing, which arise throughout the duration of the project. These issues, through superintendence, undertaken by our office, are to be copped with by an experienced project manager.

The project manager, site engineer, gives immediate solutions on site without wasting man hours and capital dissipation. He also makes accurate quantity orders of materials, as needed, at the right time for each work, delivering material at the working point contributing decisively to cost control and good quality of construction.
