Energy Efficiency Upgrade of a Building
Buildings in our country are the biggest energy consumer for the national economy. Consequently the buildings have a high potential for improving their energy efficiency.
Energy efficiency upgrade of a building is the sum of all modifications aiming to reduction of energy needs for heating - cooling and hot water.
Our office by being involved with construction since 1920, knows the development of building construction techniques, as well as material used over the years. Based on the report of the energy inspector, we propose improvements for energy efficiency upgrade. These are usually as follows:
The energy upgrade is funded by the State through the program ""Save Energy at Home" (exiconomo cat eecon)".

Our office by being involved with construction since 1920, knows the development of building construction techniques, as well as material used over the years. Based on the report of the energy inspector, we propose improvements for energy efficiency upgrade. These are usually as follows:
- lack of thermal insulation ( at rooftop, terraces, façades and open ground floors )
- old exterior frames with single glazing
- non-utilization of high solar radiation potential of the country (solar systems)
- old technology heating - cooling and hot water systems
- insufficient maintenance of air conditioning systems
- inappropriate behaviour of inhabitants due to incomplete knowledge of proper use and management of air conditioning systems leading to waste of energy.
